ByPet is a free pet game that rewards you with Sats, the smallest units of Bitcoin. You look after a digital pet, grow crops to buy its food and keep it happy so it continues earning.
I’ve been playing for four days. So far, I’ve earned 600 Sats and successfully withdrawn 400 Sats to my ZBD account. That answers the first question I had about ByPet: it has paid me. The harder question is whether it pays enough to make buying extra pets worthwhile.

Is ByPet Legit?
Based on my own experience, ByPet does pay out. My 400-Sat withdrawal reached ZBD, where I can manage the Sats I’ve earned. That doesn’t mean you’ll earn much. ByPet gives you a free Horned Frog to start with, so you can try the game without spending anything. I bought two additional pets for £4.99 and £9.99, and my early earnings have been small compared with what I spent. I’d recommend trying the free pet first. How Does ByPet Work
When you start ByPet, you receive a free Horned Frog and a feeding machine. Your pet earns Sats while it’s fed and happy, so you need to check in and tap the Pet button when it appears to improve its happiness. Food is the other thing to watch. You can get some by watching adverts, but you’ll also need in-game coins to keep your pet supplied. That’s where your farm comes in.
Growing food and earning coins
On the farm, you buy seeds, plant crops, water them, clear weeds and sell what you harvest. You can then use your coins to buy food and expand the farm. As you level up, you unlock more valuable crops. The farm is worth developing early because it helps you keep your pet fed without relying entirely on adverts. You can also fertilise watered crops to speed them up. I’ve picked up fertiliser through rewards and by watching adverts. Adding friends gives you more to do on the farm, too. You can visit each other, help with watering and weeding, and steal available crops. It’s a small feature, but it makes the farming side feel more like a game.
How do you earn more Sats in ByPet?
Each pet has a mining power value. Additional pets can increase your total power, and gems can boost it further. There are also newcomer bonuses and a temporary reward pool that can increase what you earn when you first join. The important bit is that these early bonuses don’t last. Your earnings during the first few days may give you a misleading idea of what you’ll earn over the longer term.
Beginner boost and reward pool
New players receive a 100% power boost for seven days. Once it expires, the boost disappears. You can also participate in a newcomer reward pool during your first 30 days. From what I’ve seen in the game, the pool rewards reduce after 15 days and end after 30 days. If you buy pets because of the amount you’re earning during that first week, remember that your ongoing rate could be much lower.
Pet Lucky Run and gems
Pet Lucky Run is a board-style mini-game where you can earn coins, tickets and other rewards. Tickets can be spent on gems that boost your pets’ power. If you’ve just started and don’t have many coins, I’d use the x1 multiplier while you build up tickets. Once your farm is producing plenty of coins, you can consider higher multipliers and work towards more gems. Check how long each gem lasts before spending your tickets.
Newcomer tasks
ByPet also has limited-time newcomer tasks that award extra Sats. They’re worth checking early, especially if you’re playing for free. Some tasks involving pets may be difficult to complete with only the free Horned Frog, so I wouldn’t buy another pet purely to finish a task without looking at the cost and reward first.
How much can you earn from ByPet?
After four days, I’d earned 600 Sats, including the benefits of two pets I paid for, gems and newcomer bonuses. I’d withdrawn 400 Sats to ZBD at the time of writing.
That’s a real payout, but it’s a tiny amount compared with the £14.98 I spent on pets. My current earnings also include temporary boosts, so I can’t fairly use these first four days to predict how long it will take to earn back what I paid. I’ll update this review once those bonuses have ended and I’ve seen my regular daily earnings.
For now, my advice is simple: play ByPet for free if the game appeals to you, but don’t buy pets expecting a quick return. If your only goal is to own more Bitcoin, buying Bitcoin directly may make more sense than buying in-game pets.
My verdict: Is ByPet worth playing?
Yes, if you want a cute little pet and farming game that happens to earn small amounts of Bitcoin. I’ve enjoyed it so far, and I’ve confirmed that I could withdraw Sats to ZBD. I wouldn’t treat it as a meaningful income source. Try the free Horned Frog, keep it fed and happy, and see whether you enjoy the routine. If you do, you can earn a few Sats alongside any other reward games you play. Just be careful with paid pets: my first four days haven’t come close to recovering what I spent, and the newcomer bonuses won’t last.
